Large, good looking German Shepherd. Nice, easy going temperament, sweet and friendly, pretty chill. We rescued Sarge knowing he was positive for Heartworm because he was going to be put down... and we have sponsorship help for the cost of treatment. Sarge will be undergoing treatment soon, but we'd like to land him a home FIRST! A foster home at least! It would be great for potential adopters to get to know him first and spend time with him - he doesn't have to go right in for treatment - it can wait till after the holidays or really whenever it is easy for him to stay home and quiet.....

Dogs recover fully from treatment, they just need to stay calm for just about 10 weeks or so - home life and short walks - even heart rate.... then back to fun and games as usual! Sarge is a great dog who didn't deserve to die because he is heartworm positive! Come meet this fine, regal, smart and loyal fellow at Milo Marin!
