Recently adopted from the SPCA in Oakland. He is a sweet, athletic dog that looks like Shepherd and possibly border collie, Kelpi or cattle dog. He is 8 months old and very smart, very energetic. However, now that he loves us he is very protective, especially of my 15 year old daughter. He is not aggressive in general, just protective. We have been working with a trainer, but we have taken on too much. We have always had small dogs and we don't really know what we are doing. That said, he is a beautiful, wonderful, mid- to large size dog. Currently 58lbs. I am wondering if there is a possibility that he you could help us relocate him to a larger home, with a large yard and an experienced handler? I don't want to take him back to the SPCA.

He is a sweet dog that thinks he is a lap dog. Loves to lie in the couch or bed and snuggle. He just had too much energy for our small house. The two cats we got from Milo about 3 years ago have been stuck either outside it locked in our bedroom. Our 15 year old daughter is absolutely in love with him. It is painful to give him up, but we really made a naive mistake about a big dog. I think we fell in love with his ears. I know the right person would be thrilled with him. They just need to have some idea what they are doing and to be prepared for high energy. He is potty trained. Can sit, lie down, wait for his meal, sometimes come. Seems to learn easily. Not aggressive, but very protective especially of my daughter.
