FOSTER NOTES- Manny is a great lovable lunk. He has lots of puppy left in him so he has some energy and bounciness, but he is sweet and good natured. He is jowly but doesn't drool. He has been wonderful and calm with every kid he has met from ages 1-8. He is very trainable and responds to treats (he learned "lie down" in one evening at his foster home). He is wary of men and acts nervous around men. He might need some patience learning to trust a man in his new home.

Someone loved him once. He already knew "sit." He is housetrained. He thinks he is a lap dog and will flop into your lap if you let him. He wants to sit on the couch. He rides nicely in the car.

But he lacks manners that big dogs need, for example he jumps up to say hello and pulls on the leash. He gets excited when he sees other dogs and pulls on the leash, but he just wants to play. He is so big and he will use his body weight to push other dogs around, not with aggression, just playing, but a sensitive dog might take his playing the wrong way. His foster home is confident he could learn good manners with consistent leadership and maybe a "big puppy" class.

Basically, this is a great dog who just needs calm, confident human leadership and some rules, boundaries and guidance and he could be a great pet, even for a family with kids. And he has the most luscious, soft, velvety fur - it is like petting a seal. You just want to hug him and love his big squishy face!
