|*Foster Notes* 2/28/18 "Hi all, now that we have had Secmet for a while, we have got an update on his personality, and some cute photos to hopefully help to get him adopted.
Secmet may be the sweetest cat that we have ever encountered. He is very cuddly, and wants belly rubs as often as possible. He likes to headbutt you (gently) or meow at you (softly) if you are not giving him enough attention, and purrs a lot when he is happy.
He does very well with strangers and will walk right up to new friends with confidence. It did take him a few weeks to get to this level of confidence after we brought him home, so he may need time to adjust once he finds his forever home, but once he warms up, he is quite the love bug.
Being a senior cat, he is a pretty low-energy guy, and does not want to play most of the time. He really just likes to nap and snuggle. He does not scratch furniture or people, but he does use his cardboard scratcher quite a bit. He can be pretty messy with his litter and tends to track it around the house, so a big litter mat would be a good idea (we do not have room for a big one in our apartment unfortunately). Otherwise, he is low-maintenance and is fine being in a home where he is left alone for much of the day, as long as he gets some loving when you get home."
Secmet was found as a stray and is now back at Milo. He has lots of love to give, is very mellow and would be a wonderful companion. He does not get along well with other cats and would do best as the only cat in the household.
