If Hammy doesn't land a home soon, he'll go spend some time at our Sanctuary in the cozy barn in his own room.... but he'd much prefer a place with people to love him!

Hamlet (aka Hammy) is a total, squishy, cuddly love! He's a perfect gentleman in the house, totally house-trained, sleeps through the night, stays off the furniture, doesn't chew, takes treats with a soft mouth, doesn't guard, and is very quiet. Hamlet loves all humans 8 days to 80+ years. So, a home where he can just chill-axing as the four-legged of choice, saunter about the garden, snuggle with his people, would make him happy as a clam!

Watch a video of sweet Hammy:

He is very focused on his humans and wants to be an only dog. He's great on walks at times and places without other dogs. Hamlet loves a good romp in a yard, laying around at home, and joining you at work or wherever you like to go. Hamlet is super charming and fairly mellow, though now that he has had his lumps and bumps removed he is more eager, stronger and more athletic and outgoing - he also has some socialization work needed. Hamlet is very people/kid friendly, and loves to snuggle and give kisses. An all-around love bug! But no cats and other dogs only with time and proper introductions, females more likely to meet with eventual success, but in reality, just let the guy hang loose as an only dog, he'll slather his humans with love!

Hamlet arrived with lumps and bumps and swollen ankles which are a Shar-pei genetic characteristic, we removed three large masses and the results were benign (PHEW!) Donations towards his rescue and care are appreciated!
