Weight: Large (60 - 90 pounds)

Lovely BIG pup! Easy going, tail wagging, interested and intrigued by the changes in her surroundings, sweet with other dogs big and small, she needs some work getting comfortable on leash - but shouldn't take long - she is very happy and very mellow - also very big! So this country bumpkin needs people familiar with larger reeds and able to take her to training and keep her socialized and have her gain some confidence in an appropriate and loving manner - she is a love of a dog!

Breed: Lhasa Apso Mix
Gender: Female
Age: 3 yrs. 1 mo.  Birthday: 7/2007 (est)
Weight: Small (less than 30 pounds)
Milo ID: 14290
Current Location: Foster Care
Foster notes: "Sofia is adorable. We call her “Little Miss Muppet”, because she actually looks like one! Our best guess is that she is a Lhasa Apso mix. She was a stray and arrived in bad shape, with severely matted fur, a foxtail lodged under her arm, and a double ear infection. She is now in amazing shape; she has been to the vet and has had her makeover at the groomer.

Sofia is ready for her big debut! She is a great little, cuddly companion. Sofia has good house manners, is a snuggly lap dog, and is potty trained. She enjoys riding in the car, but wishes someone would let her drive! Sofia loves other dogs and is fine with cats. She appears to be friendly with everyone, but due to her petite figure, a home with small children is not recommended. She is generally pretty mellow, so she could be a great dog for a senior. Sofia is just looking for her own person that will hold her, keep her safe and treat her like the Little Miss Muppet that she is!

Adorable, tiny little black Chihuahua puppy. Found dumped in the night drop box at the Berkeley shelter... she deserves better this time!

Foster bio: "Bird Littlewing is the sweetest little girl. She is an ideal pet for anyone looking for a tiny companion. I think she would be a great first dog, or an addition to existing pets. She has been living with three other dogs, and gets along with them wonderfully. The first day she was here, she stuck to me like glue, and preferred to be held, rather than to walk around with the other dogs. I indulged her needs, and by the next day she had warmed up, and become confident enough to romp with the other dogs. She has grown to love playing with other dogs, but she is ultimately the perfect lap dog. She loves to curl up in your lap, or sleep across your chest. I feel that she would be fine with small children, but it is VERY important for them to be aware of how delicate she is. She is also great in her crate. She will nap in there, and when I'm getting ready to leave the house, she goes right inside."

Name: RADAR
BIANCA aka RADAR

Breed: Flat Coat Retriever - Labrador Retriever Mix
Gender: Female
Age: 3 yrs. 4 mo.  Birthday: 3/2007 (est)
Weight: Medium (30 - 60 pounds)
Milo ID: 14248
Current Location: Foster Care
Radar is a terrific dog - sweet, playful, easy going in many ways - but she is a toy guarder - and she LOVES her toys!!! Because of this she is likely best as an only dog - she is fine with people and her toys but she doesn't like to share with other dogs. We also feel because of this that she is not appropriate for a home with small children - though she likes kids.

Radar is good in and out of the house - is content to hang pout but also has energy for long hikes and romps!
