Foster an Animal! LONG TERM FOSTERING We welcome the possibility of longer term fostering as well, in the hope that your contribution will allow the animal the opportunity needed to find a good home. Long term fostering is possible both in the San Francisco Bay Area, particularly in the East Bay and in Marin County, as well as in Mendocino County. Foster homes are needed for under aged puppies and kittens, adolescent pups in need of house training and one-on-one time, as well as adult dogs of many kinds. Senior cats benefit greatly from longer term fostering in a warm, loving environment. By providing a secure haven and extra nurturing, training, or care, you are increasing our ability to help other animals, and increasing your foster pet's chances of finding the right new home.

To be a SHORT-TERM FOSTER PARENT means that you are willing to pick up animal(s) at the end of an adoption day and take them home overnight. After an evening of love and attention and more room to romp, you transport the critter(s) back the following day for another chance at adoption.   Until we have a new adoption space we are not doing overnight fostering.  Longer term fostering, even for just a week, is very much NEEDED!! Especially at the end of an adoption weekend, until the next mobile adoption event.

Please submit your foster application PDF or DOC via email to click here for email or call (510) 548-9301 for information on fostering an animal!
