Featured Critter: LEIA

Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier Mix  -  Gender: Female
Age: 2 yrs. 1 mo. (est), Milo ID: 27599

LEIA Leia is an absolutely sweet girl! She’s about 1.5-2 years old and still has a lot of her puppy energy, but is also the biggest couch potato when she needs to be. She is a total people person - she LOVES human affection and wants to be touching someone at all times. Belly rubs are her favorite and she is really starting to enjoy walks as well. She’s a tiny pocket pittie (~ 45lbs) with a big heart! Leia was found camped out at a house that was up for sale and it looks like she just had puppies recently. She has not seen much of the world due to her past life and is a little more timid than most dogs, but has flourished since being found. She is looking for a savvy home that will give her the training and love that she deserves, and will be patient with her while she comes out of her shell and learn how to dog. She is mostly potty-trained, crate trained, non destructive, knows sit, and would do best in an home where she is the only dog or can be slowly introduced to a mellow, non reactive bigger dog. No cats or small dogs, and probably fine with older kids. She is a teeny tiny (but big) love. If you’re looking for someone to be your number one fan, Leia is the one for you.

Featured Critter: J.COLE

Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier - Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix  -  Gender: Male
Age: 1 yr. 2 mo. (est), Milo ID: 27201

J.COLE Meet J.Cole!

***Loves people, dogs and passed his cat test!

***Walks well on leash (with his adorable, fancy prancing!)

***Great with adults and older kids(~8 & up)

***J.Cole enjoys: snoozing in sun puddles, being out and about in town meeting new friends of all species, playing with his toys, being ridiculously good looking, eating lots of treats, sitting in your lap on the couch watching Netflix, taking baths & general pampering, hiking, going to the beach, and giving kisses. *There are very few things that JC does not enjoy- he has a resilient and contagious spirit, 100% love.

***Big butt, bigger heart!

JC is an extra special boy rescued from the very overcrowded Merced County shelter. He is dog and people friendly and always eager to spread his love and joy to all whom he encounters! This silly, wiggly boy has been winning the hearts of staff and volunteers all over Milo since the moment he stepped out of the transport van with a big smile and wagging tail!

NOTES 6/11/18: JC is well-mannered, crate trained.

JC is happiest when in the company of friends- human and/or canine, showering all with affection. We think he would make a great addition to an active and fun-loving, single-dog home or family looking for a great companion. JC is still really just a puppy given his estimated age of just over 1 year old, so he will need daily exercise and foundational training for optimal success and well-being. A real love bug; big butt, bigger heart!

Meet your new best friend J.Cole today at Milo Point Richmond!
