Featured Critters
Featured Critter: CHANCE
Breed: Shepherd - Husky - Siberian Mix  -  Gender: Male  -  Age: 2 yrs.
CHANCE Chance is a super happy, well-mannered dog! Medium large, thick coat and tail, a very smiley and happy disposition - eager to take part and eager to please his people! Chance rides well in a car, is great with all family members, walks well on leash, is great with other dogs - not so great (overly enthusiastic about) cats.

A lovely companion, ready to go on walks, to jog or hang out in the yard/garden with you! He's a fine candidate for the dog park too. Whether his recall is good enough for off-leash trails or the beach we don't know at this point, he is seemingly part husky and they can be roamers, runners so for now we'd have to suggest keeping him on leash. Chance knows some commands, and is house trained we believe.

Give CHANCE the chance he needs at a loving home!

Featured Critter: CHLOE
Breed: Labrador Retriever Mix  -  Gender: Female  -  Age: 1 yr. 2 mo. (est)
CHLOE Big, sweet Labby mix girl - very Lab-like. Chloe is a lover and leaner - she knows her commands, loves people and is good with other dogs.

Labs are described as "lively, affectionate, loveable." This is certainly true of young Chloe. She has boundless energy which she uses to play tug, chase a ball (although not always bringing it back), and chomp on toys to hear them squeak. She loves people and enjoys physical affection and attention. And, she is loveable, although she does jump up on people to greet them.

Chloe should be an only dog in her new home. She can be 'people possessive' with other dogs, meaning that she is unwilling to share their attention with another dog. However she is playful and has interacted well with other dogs. She can have dog friends, but a dog park is not recommended. Chloe will need lots of exercise which should not only include retrieving, but taking long walks and runs.

Enroll her in a dog training class to ensure her becoming a good citizen. Then, channel her energy in a sport like agility, Frisbee, or dock-diving. Chloe will really appreciate being part of a sports-minded family where she can be part of daily activities.
