Featured Critter: BODIE

Breed: Shepherd - Labrador Retriever Mix  -  Gender: Male  -  Age: 10 yrs. 10 mo. (est)  -  Milo ID: 19214

BODIE *Foster Notes* 10/23/17 "Doesn't bark, Great on public transportation and in the car, Great with new people, other dogs, and small children on leash. Loves to play tug of war or fetch, Loves to cuddle and join in on hugs, and Can be left alone all day. Very responsive to commands (sit, down, stay, wait, come, leave it, jump, heel, paw, drop it). Doesn't eat trash or food off the ground, Very polite, doesn't even make a fuss if he's accidentally stepped on. Doesn't bark back at barking dogs, Doesn't jump on furniture (unless invited) or people. Doesn't chew furniture, Housetrained, even if left inside for a long time, Not food aggressive (prefers soft food on a flat surface for meals). We didn't allow him in a certain room (told him no the first time he, tried to go in) and he never went even when left alone. Has a lot of energy when you play with him but calms down immediately when you're done. Can go for long walks or chill in front of the TV all day.

Prior Adopter's Bio: "This is Bodie, a 75 pound handsome mutt (mix of various breeds: boxer, lab, husky, beagle?). He was adopted from Milo at 5 months of age and was a well-loved part of the family for 6 1/2 years. With the new addition of a baby (now toddler) in the house, it's become clear that he needs to be in a child-free home. He can not share a home with another animal, either. Otherwise, his positive attributes are too many to list! He responds well to voice commands and is trustworthy at home when left alone. He loves a walk everyday, and has a blast when able to run off leash in open areas. He is very fun to adventure with, and can be quite playful and silly.

Bodie loves people and would be a wonderful companion for an adult only home as an only pet. Please consider him if you are looking for a special addition to your life. He is a catch! Send any inquiries to sanctuary@milofoundation.org

Featured Critter: VIGGO

Breed: Australian Cattle Dog Mix  -  Gender: Male  -  Age: 3 yrs. 1 mo. (est)  -  Milo ID: 22568

DUSTY now VIGGO Viggo is looking for a rural home without cats or children. He can be such a lovely, cuddly and sweet boy but he does get overwhelmed when overstimulated and does also have the tendency to be leash reactive and over protective of his home and family. many of these traits can be typical of a herding breed dog that does not have a"job" and that need further training. He can get along very well with many dogs, but he does have a tendency to be controlling with them especially in "his" area. The ideal home for Viggo would be in a rural home with lots of room to play, with an adult family that was going to both shower him with love and affection, and also show him that he can "stand down" and does not have to worry about protecting them or the home, and that it is there job to protect him. Training and activity would greatly help Viggo settle into himself. He is very loving and submissive with the staff, and we know he would just thrive and blossom in the right home! Please email your questionnaires to foster/adopt Viggo to sanctuary@milofoundation.org
