*Rescuer Notes* 9/28/17 "Abby doesn't have an extra survival story. She's not a hurricane victim. She wasn't lucky enough to have a great family before some disaster struck. She probably never had it that good. This little girl just showed up on my door step one day, clearly having just had puppies, and was dumped. She roamed the street for a couple days shying away from strangers. And who could blame her. I put food out for her and she came closer. After that she didn't leave my yard. One day I fed her out of my hand and it was all over!

All she needed was someone to show her love. After that she was jumping into my arms to give me hugs and kisses and chasing my car down the street because she just wanted to hang out with me. She is a very sweet dog, desperately seeking her "person" or family to call her own. She is great off leash and will just follow you around. She is great in the car. She'll just jump in and sit or lay down calmly. She was not in my house so I don't know if she's house trained. She was fine around my kids and knew quickly they were part of the pack and would go up to them tail wagging. She was behavior tested with another pit bull and she did fine. I have not seen her with small dogs or cats although when small dogs walked by she just looked at them but did not react. She is protective of her house and people. She noticed the difference between neighbors and people who were unfamiliar on the street. She would love to be in the house as well as outside. When I went in she wanted to go in with me! She has a skin issue that has been neglected and will take a couple months to heal on the back of her body causing inflammation and hair loss. It itches but should improve with treatment.

She is 50 lbs and around a year 1.5 years old. Basically, she's a very sweet dog who just needs to find someone who will love her as fiercely as she will love them??She hasn't had it easy. She had a pretty big following of people networking to keep her out of the shelter and finally made it to rescue! Please give Abby a second chance at a great life!"

   Milo ID: 25906
   Current Location: Milo Point Richmond
Jasmine is an adorable middle aged gal rescued from Houston. She is very dog friendly and a tad shy when it comes to all the changes her life has gone through post Harvey, but she is taking things well in stride, enjoying her walks etc.

Fostered for a few days with a staff member, she was found to be house-trained, but unsettled, and needs very good fencing and gates etc.

She is Heartworm positive and will need treatment. Milo will supply the medications for adopters vet to treat her with, first she needs a month of Doxycycline...which she is on.

*Foster Notes* 9/19/17 "We only had her for 1 night but she is super sweet. Great with kids and small dogs."

Breed: Australian Cattle Dog - Corgi Mix
   Gender: Male
Age: 10 yrs. 1 mo.  Birthday: 9/2007 (est)
   Weight: Medium (30 - 60 pounds)
   Milo ID: 25865
   Current Location: Milo Point Richmond
Poor Skippy arrived at the Stanislaus shelter in quite bad shape. Toenails so long they were growing into all four of his feet, his eyes were severly gunky with conjunctivitis - though he may have dry-eye jhe was described as having "raspy breathing" but no heart murmur or lung issue (seems to be from his throat) - however, even with all this - he is described as a happy dog, and truly he seems to be glad to be at Milo!

This fellow needs caring people who can afford to keep him on eye meds (perhaps forever) and take good care of him - something clearly he has not had all the years of his life.
