Animals in the Bay Area
These are just some of the animals that are in foster care in the Bay Area or at our next mobile at, California. Please arrange to meet them!

183 Animals found - Page 1 of 31

Name: CODY
LAYTONVILLE PUP ONE
More Photos
Breed: Boxer - Saint Bernard Mix
Gender: Female
Age: 10 wks.  Birthday: 12/2009 (est)
Weight: Large (60 - 90 pounds)
Milo ID: 13655
Current Location: Foster Care
These are lovely pups - mellow, yet playful of course - there will need to be a firm commitment to early training and continued socialization! Because they will be large dogs it is extra important to start with training early and to be consistent, so that they have good manners before they get too big and try to throw their weight around! They have a good start, they are social and very happy! Two of her brothers are now fostered with the intent to adopt . . .

Foster notes: "Cody is very sweet and extremely social. He is a really fun loving dog , playing with hula hoops, chasing balls, and just puppy playing with his siblings. He and with Nelson are the smallest in the litter, although he is growing fast! He looks the most Boxer-like, of the group and is probably the most playful. A great tail-wagging, wriggly pup. Cody also can be very mellow and low-key. He is going to grow into a great, social, active dog. Such a sweetie!"

Being shown for adoption at our next EAST BAY MOBILE adoption event. Saturday March 13th. 12-4 PM, at PET FOOD EXPRESS. 51st Street @ Broadway in Oakland/Rockridge.

Name: CRIMSON
CLOVER PUP

Breed: Pit Bull - Labrador Retriever Mix
Gender: Female
Age: 9 wks.  Birthday: 1/2010
Weight: Medium (30 - 60 pounds)
Milo ID: 13653
Current Location: Foster Care
Crimson is one of two puppies born to mama Clover. Mama Clover is a bright, alert, happy dog. She is a black and white Pit mix, very playful!. She gave birth to Crimson and one more puppy on January 5th, having left the Lake County Shelter VERY pregnant. The two puppies have been fostered up at the Navarro Winery, and a fellow who works at the vineyard is adopting her sister, so little Crimson is now down in the Bay Area getting ready to find her home. She is super sweet!! She looks more Lab-like than Pitty.

Crimson is possibly going to be ready for adoption at our next East Bay mobile event. Saturday March 13th at the Rockridge Pet Food Express store.

Name: PORTHOS
PORTHOS

Color:  Grey Tabby
Gender: Male
Age: 5 mos.  Birthday: 9/2009 (est)
Milo ID: 13651
Current Location: Foster Care
Come meet these sweet, shy boys at our next EAST BAY MOBILE adoption event. Saturday March 13th. 12-4 PM, at PET FOOD EXPRESS. 51st Street @ Broadway in Oakland/Rockridge.

Foster notes: "Athos and Porthos are two shy, five-month-old brothers from Kings County. Athos is soft brown, larger than his brother, but also more timid. Porthos is soft gray, smaller, but bolder. Initially, they are so shy that they hide most of the time, but will “consent” to being caught for petting. For the first few days they will stay out only when you’re petting them; once you stop, they scurry back to their hiding places. In a few days, though, they’ll overcome their shyness and become much more social. They are the most well-behaved kittens we have ever fostered. If you want the playfulness of kittens, but don’t want to deal with other kitten behaviors like climbing up the drapes, knocking over the plants, or sticking their noses in your dinner, these little guys are for you. They love playing with the laser pointer, and will hold ferociously onto the end of a cat dancer. As mentioned, they will overcome their shyness to be held and petted. You can even put Porthos around your neck, and wear him like a fur collar! The boys enjoy snuggling and playing together, and get a lot of reassurance from seeing the other one around. They should be adopted as a pair."
