Name: BARNABY
Picture Coming Soon!
photo coming soon
Breed: Australian Cattle Dog Mix
Gender: Male
Age: 11 wks.  Birthday: 2/2014 (est)
Weight: Medium (30 - 60 pounds)
Milo ID: 20171
Current Location: Foster Care
One of three very cute herding/Guardian pups. Barnaby and his siblings will likely be considerably larger than the average Cattledog. Perhaps mellower as well - but that will remain to be seen - none-the-less these pups will likely be protective, have a controlling edge, and have temperaments that require herding and guardian breed savvy adopters. Exercise and other stimulation and behavioral awareness is important - these are not the best choices for a family with young children or people that want a dog that will be happy alone in a a yard or home for 7-9 hours a day.

Loyal, intelligent companions indeed - but a lifestyle that warrants their needs as well as the families needs is important for a happy union and many happy years to follow! Please think seriously about the time and resources it takes to raise a good pup into a great dog for the lifetime of that dog! Time, training, resources, patience, more time and training and the resiliency and ability to go through life with all the demands and changes ahead... and yet still have your pup/dog be able to be an important participant in your life and be a family member!

Name: BALOO

Breed: Australian Cattle Dog - Anatolian Shepherd Mix
Gender: Male
Age: 11 wks.  Birthday: 2/2014 (est)
Weight: Large (60 - 90 pounds)
Milo ID: 20170
Current Location: Foster Care
One of three very cute herding/Guardian pups. Baloo has significant Guardian dog physical characteristics, and is significantly bigger than his two siblings - so we think given his size he will be considerably larger than the average Cattledog. Perhaps mellower as well - but that will remain to be seen - none-the-less these pups will likely be protective, have a controlling edge, and have temperaments that require herding and guardian breed savvy adopters. Gender: Male
Age: 1 yr.  Birthday: 4/2013 (est)
Weight: Medium (30 - 60 pounds)
Milo ID: 20168
Current Location: Foster Care
Traveler is his name but not who he is. He was a stray in Oakland but has found a place with The Milo Foundation. He is a happy bouncy boy who is super dog friendly and people friendly. He would love to be in an active home or in a home where he can do agility. Traveler is cat friendly but if the cat runs he will chase.

Name: MEADOW
MEADOW

Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Mix
Gender: Female
Age: 2 yrs.  Birthday: 4/2012 (est)
Weight: Small (less than 30 pounds)
Milo ID: 20164
Current Location: Foster Care
Meadow (black and tan) and River (red) are two wild-haired tinies who recently arrived. In a short term foster home until the 21st. We will post more as we get to know them.

Quick report: "They are super sweet little sprites, and are very loving towards new people so far (four neighbors have already come by to meet them). They get along well with my fourteen pounder, Cinder, although they were weary of her at first, since she is three times their size. Because they are only about four pounds each, I do not think they would do well in a home with big dogs or super little kids. They slept in their crate together through the night with no problems. They are mostly house-trained, although River has a tendency to lift his leg where he is not supposed to. They do go potty when I take them out for little walks, and although their leash skills need a ton of work, they tolerate being on leash, and love to romp outside. They love attention and affection, and just being by us or in our laps."
