Foster A Dog, Puppy, Cat or Kitten
Many rescue dogs and cats simply need more one-on-one people time and routine. Dog savvy people with fenced yards, and the time to devote to an additional pet, would really be helping a long term Milo dog by fostering for a month or so, and getting the dog primed for "real life" -- a home and a family! Foster homes are also needed for shorter time frames for cats, dogs, kittens, and puppies.
Help At Milo Point Richmond
Milo Point Richmond open 12/8/13. This is our new "forever" location in a great new 5000 sf space. We need volunteers to help with animal care, dog walking, in the office with answering phones, and with other administrative tasks. Let us know how you can help at 510-900-2275.
Mobile Adoptions and Outreach
Milo is looking for pairs of volunteers to go out to busy retail locations and set up a table and hand out information - taking a couple puppies a dog... some critters to attract attention.... call Milo Point Richmond and ask for Lynne, or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to help raise funds and spread the word about Milo and our new Adoption Center!
Every weekend there are mobile adoption events in the East Bay, Berkeley or Oakland. We always need volunteers to help with set up, taking care of the critters during the events, and breaking down at the end of the day.
At the Sanctuary:
Check back for future volunteer weekends and other events at the Sanctuary!
Please be ready to roll up your sleeves and pitch in. You will get hot, you will get dirty, and you probably will get lots of dogs kisses and cat purrs! There will be time to socialize with the animals, and walk dogs. It's lots of fun, too.
The Sanctuary is located about 3 hours north of the Bay Area near Willits. The spring and fall are beautiful times of the year to visit - and help! Summers are hot, if you can handle that, and there are vital projects that occur in these months! Please email email@example.com for more information.
|The Milo Foundation welcomes visits from youth organizations. During the Summer months, Milo has regular visits from the Boy Scout Troops that visit the Wente Scout Camp. School groups, Rotary Clubs, any organization with kids or adults interested in animal welfare or helping homeless pets, are welcomed to make an appointment for a visit, to tour and to VOLUNTEER! ||Skilled Volunteers Needed:|
