Looking back, looking forward

Dear Friend of Milo,
Here we are at the end of quite a year! While 2024 had its challenges, we celebrated some major milestones. This includes our 30th anniversary and 50,000 animals

saved!

Falcon, now Snowy, came to our Sanctuary with Parvo. We treated him and found him a loving home!

None of this would be possible without the incredible support we receive from YOU, our amazing donors, adopters, fosters, and volunteers!

Mobile Adoptions are back! Catch Milo on Fourth St. in Berkeley and at various Marin locations.

It’s wild to think that Milo started over 30 years ago at our Sanctuary in Mendocino County and has expanded into a robust rescue operation that adopts out over 1,700 animals each year. Our adoption center in Point Richmond is thriving, and our network of fabulous foster homes continues to grow. Our Sanctuary has expanded and will be open for dog-friendly camping, hiking, and more in the coming year.

Among the countless animals we saved every week were dogs and cats with life-threatening and painful medical conditions. We got them the care they needed. We also rescued many pregnant and nursing moms and babies, sweet and sensitive seniors, shy, scared dogs, and many more who deserve compassion and care, not euthanasia!

Going into 2025, we have some huge projects to tackle in addition to the day-to-day operations that make saving animals possible. We’ve set a goal to save 2,000 animals in the new year! Our adoption center in Point Richmond needs major renovations, including updating our dog kennels, improving our isolation rooms, and adding enhancements to create a more peaceful environment for the animals and visitors.

Yeti and Naya, a bonded “odd couple,” got an awesome home TOGETHER!

Milo rescues many animals, like Gracie, needing eyes or limbs removed or repaired!

In 2025, Milo will focus on the single most effective solution to reduce euthanasia rates and get the pet overpopulation issue under control, which is SPAY/NEUTER! Our entire team wants Milo to be a leader in our community when it comes to making spay/neuter more accessible. Only YOUR support will help us accomplish these things!

While the day-to-day work of saving at-risk animals will continue (and we need help with those sorts), we also need your support as we work to make a bigger difference in the pet overpopulation crisis plaguing our community and our nation as a whole.

I know we sound like a broken record, but YOU make our work possible. Every donation you make saves the lives of at-risk dogs and cats. As we head into 2025, I hope you will consider a generous donation to help Milo continue our mission of saving as many animals as possible.

With our deepest gratitude and best wishes for a
Happy New Year,

Lynne Tingle
Director/Founder

On behalf of TEAM MILO,
thank you for your support!
