Join us for a tail-wagging good time at Marin Country Mart on Sunday, October 13, for our adoption event! Meet Milo at the Mart, mingle with marvelous mutts, and discover delightful dogs looking for their forever homes.
With plenty of playful pups and pawsitively perfect partners waiting for you, it’s a day of furry companionship you won’t want to miss! Grab your dog and invite friends and family to come meet your new best friend while supporting Milo’s mission of rescuing dogs and cats from overcrowded municipal shelters where they face euthanasia: 30 years, 47,000+ rescued!
Welcome! Visitors are welcome to the Milo Point Richmond Adoption Center, NO APPOINTMENT NECESSARY!
Please stop by during open hours, 11am to 5pm every day (except Tuesday when we are closed), sign in and we will introduce you to animals of interest, and give you a walk through if you would like to see more.
If you are interested in adopting, it is helpful for you to please start by completing a pet adoption application before you visit, and if you can print it and bring it with you, that will further facilitate the process. If you cannot no problem, you will be able to complete an application on site. Our goal is to assist you in meeting the animals and hopefully leaving with one! So many need homes! Thank you for wanting to adopt a Milo Dog or Milo Cat!
The Milo Foundation is an established 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill organization providing a second chance for homeless pets throughout California.
We rescue dogs and cats from high-kill animal shelters and adopt them to loving homes best suited to provide lifetime care. We offer sanctuary to those pets who are not ready for adoption and educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, including spay/neuter.
Our pet adoption program adopts out approximately 1,800 dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens each year! We could not do this without your generous donations and volunteer efforts. Thank you for your continued support of the animals at the Milo Foundation.

Volunteer opportunities are constantly changing as we grow and develop new programs but what doesn’t change is your impact on our homeless animals!
There are so many ways to help including daily animal care, dog walking, cat socialization, and fostering an animal in need. Become a volunteer or foster and make a difference to our adoptable dogs and cats.
Our Sanctuary
The Milo Sanctuary is home to approximately 200+ animals at any given time, mostly dogs and cats whom need time for rehabilitation or socialization, but also a variety of farm animals. The Sanctuary is located on 283 acres in Mendocino County, offering lots of room for rescued animals to run and play.
