Foster A Dog, Puppies, Cat or Kittens

Many rescue dogs and cats simply need more one-on-one people time and a sense of routine to be prepared for a forever home. Foster homes literally save lives, creating more space at our Milo Point Richmond Adoption Center (MPR) to rescue more pets facing euthanasia.

We welcome you to foster, whether you are new to companion animals or you grew up on a busy farm! Whether you have animal savvy – or not, yet – and MOST IMPORTANTLY you have the time to devote to a pet, we will do our best to work with you to find an appropriate animal to foster.

Fosters sometimes help long-term Milo dogs by fostering for a month or so, and getting the dog primed for “real life” — a home and a family!

Fosters help in shorter time frames for cats, dogs, kittens, and puppies. We rescue a LOT of mom dogs with puppies, and in the spring and summer months we rescue many mom cats with their litters. Fostering a family is super helpful in saving many lives!

Please complete our Foster Application and we’ll follow-up within 2 weeks to provide more information on next steps.
