   Name: RUDY
   Breed: Australian Cattle Dog Mix
   Gender: Male
Age: 2 yrs.  Birthday: 6/2017 (est)
   Weight: Medium (30 - 60 pounds)
   Milo ID: 29216
   Current Location: The Milo Sanctuary
Rudy is a fabulous, sweet fellow, he loves to play with toys and play fetch. He is a character, dog and cat friendly, good on leash and in a car and also crate trained. He is food motivated and knows at least the sit command. We just neutered him and he is working on learning his house-training, and stairs! Pretty funny watching him ponder going up and running at them, jumping, and stumbling up, but he's got it down now.

Rudy is affectionate and loves to give hugs, he is an active boy but not hyper, certainly looking for outdoorsy folks who have the time and the desire to have their canine companion join them on daily activities.

Rudy is likely best suited to an adult home or one with older kids.

$400 adoption fee.

A classic, beautiful red Heeler, with a patch over one eye - but this girl was clearly left without much if any kindness or human interaction. She does bond very quickly with her human and will resource guard them from other dogs in the home. Connie is a master of cuddling!

FOSTER NOTES: Needs a bit more potty training. Super sweet. Shy girl who needs lots of love, socialization and training.

She is young and will come around once we can convince her that people are not going to hurt, or abuse her and are here to make her life better and brighter!

She's smart, so we have confidence her tough, sturdy though sensitive, inner-Heeler will blossom and this girl will soon be hiking, running, playing fetch...being LOVED! Due to shyness she is an adult only household.

$400 adoption fee for this sweet project.

   Name: CALY aka CALYPSO
Breed: German Shepherd Dog - Rottweiler Mix
   Gender: Female
   Age: 2 yrs. 6 mo.  Birthday: 11/2016
   Weight: Large (60 - 90 pounds)
   Milo ID: 29035
   Current Location: The Milo Sanctuary
Adorable, sweet, spunky Calypso (Caly) is a highly intelligent and sensitive2-year-old German Shepherd/Rottweiler mix. She has so much love and affection to give to the people she trusts and bonds with. For Caly, an ideal home would be a single family detached house with a large yard, another dog friend (or friends!) to play with, and a confident, experienced dog owner. Ideally, she would have lots of opportunities for playtime and mental stimulation, as she’s a busy, brilliant girl. She feels most comfortable with adults, and likely wouldn’t do well in a home with children, as she’s shown some uncertainty around them. Caly has her basic obedience down, is housebroken, spayed, fully up-to-date with her vaccinations, and is a trainable, quick learner. She also loves belly rubs and car rides!

Caly does amazingly well with other dogs and quickly makes new canine friends. She feels a great deal of comfort, security, and calm when sharing a home with them, as she’s grown up with adult dogs around to mentor her. She would thrive with another dog or two she could bond with in her new family. Caly also gets along well with kitty friends! She maintains a playful sense of curiosity around cats, and will even engage in gentle play if they approach her wanting to do so. Sometimes, Caly will feel the need to protect her favorite toys and food from other dogs and, rarely, people. She’ll audibly mumble and grumble, but ultimately understands that doing so isn’t necessary.

As Caly has grown older, she’s unfortunately become wary of new people and strangers. She can show some fearful reactivity around strangers on walks or with new people who come into the home. At times, she’ll bark, growl or show ‘air-mouthiness’ to express that she’s uncomfortable and needs more space. It can take time for Caly to build trust. However, if Caly’s got another dog friend by her side when new people come into the home, she actually improves behaviorally. Her canine companion(s) help her to see that new people aren’t as scary as she may think they are.

Once Caly knows and trusts you, she will be attached to you for life. Caly provides a type of love that isunconditional and wholehearted. Her personality is endearingly quirky, and she wants nothing more than to sharethe kindness, warmth, and tenderness she has so much of with you. She deserves a fantastic home, a fantasticperson (or people!), and a fantastic new dog friend to live with that can give her all the love, attention, space, andstructure she deserves.

   Weight: Medium (30 - 60 pounds)
   Milo ID: 29026
   Current Location: The Milo Sanctuary
Jupiter is a very shy girl who chooses dogs over people as friends. She originally came to Milo from the Stanislaus Shelter and was adopted by a lovely woman who did her best with her, but who also lived in the noisy city where Jupiter just could not get comfortable. She's currently residing at our sanctuary for a much needed break from our urban environment, but is still available for adoption.

Little cutie from Berkeley Animal Services, now up here at the Milo Sanctuary due to having aggressive tendencies, possessiveness.... but people love him and he could go to a quiet adult only home where people won't invade his space, and can handle a quirky, nipping dog.

   Breed: Alaskan Malamute Mix
   Gender: Male
Age: 7 yrs. 7 mo.  Birthday: 11/2011 (est)
   Weight: Large (60 - 90 pounds)
   Milo ID: 28906
   Current Location: The Milo Sanctuary
Gazpacho sadly has tested postive for Heartworm so will need treatment - he is a fairly mellow charecter so the long stint of cage or room rest wont be so very difficult if he can just hangout, go to work, or just stay at home in a quiet area... Gorgonzola and Gazpacho lived together their whole lives and are both charming. Their person passed away and they ended up at the Clearlake Animal Services and as they are middle aged or senior - little chance did they have, which is crazy because these are lovely dogs, tail wagging, happy, solicitous of affection, silly, adorable and looking for love and playtime!

Once Gazpacho starts his HW treatment he will need to stay calm, keep his heart-rate low.... for a few months. he would love a home - adoptive or foster at least! Super sweet bog boy! No cat household

Lovely, attentive, sensitive girl - here with her sister/cousin/mother (?) who gave birth 3 days after arriving to our Sanctuary from Auburn. Helen's been handled roughly by other animals or something - one ear has quite a bit ripped off. Helen is a loyal dog who sticks right next to you. We're getting to know more about her!

Moose is a sweet big boy, he's just arrived at our Sanctuary...Moose is a big Queensland - Border Collie cross breed. He loves to be with people and will be your shadow, he'll curl up in your lap if you are on the floor, he loves and craves affection from his people. Classic to his breed he LOVES to ride in the car and gets excited about it and jumps right in...he's a fairly active boy.

Moose loves playing with toys and will bring them to other dogs to play chase and keep away. Playing in water, swimming, blowing bubbles in the water bowl, playing with the hose....

Moose knows basic commands (Sit, down, roll-over and speak!) He is hanging out with new friends at the Milo Sanctuary chilling out, as he has some anxiety issues from his first year in life... He's enjoying walks to the creek with dogs his size and smaller so far.

   Breed: Domestic Medium Hair

   Gender: Female
   Age: 7 mos.  Birthday: 11/2018
   Milo ID: 28900

Samantha has not been around people much so she is a bit shy. She might hiss at first but it is just a soft one and once you start talking to her she feels better. She loves her wet food, so giving that would certainly win her over!

Samantha needs a home that is quiet and better with no young kids. She is a very sweet cat.

   Name: LOU LOU WOO

   Gender: Female
Age: 1 yr. 7 mo.  Birthday: 11/2017 (est)
   Milo ID: 28898

What a lovely, sweet piggie we have! LouLou walks on a leash, loves kitties and veggies, wags her tail non stop, she is an affectionate lovely pig, and she is not great with dogs, though fast moving agile dogs are fine - but slow moving elderly dogs who get anywhere near her "Stuff" food etc she will go after - she is better with cats for sure. She is a smart, active young piggie, who loves her walks and belly rubs, sleeping on the door mat in the sun...

$250 adoption fee.
