Breed: Great Pyrenees - Border Collie Mix
   Gender: Male
Age: 4 yrs.  Birthday: 10/2015 (est)
   Weight: Large (60 - 90 pounds)
   Milo ID: 29923
   Current Location: The Milo Sanctuary
Colby is an amazing fellow. Immediately fitting in at our Sanctuary as a friend, guardian, companion to dog and people - curious onlooker to others - but people focused first - easy going, not house trained - happy outdoors but needing comforts. He's actually quite amazing - a fabulous companion to avid hikers and outdoorsy folks -he'd carry his own pack and walk beside you... attentive and relaxed fellow. Charming x100!

$500 adoption fee for sweet big boy Colby, and we're leaving him at our Sanctuary where he is happy and easy as pie! Interested parties please send in your applications to info@ and sanctuary@milofoundation.org - but due to fires and outages it will take a bit for any process for him - but he's giving comfort to Sanctuary folks right now.

   Name: DAHLIA
FLOWER CHILDREN PYRS

   Breed: Great Pyrenees
   Gender: Female
   Age: 10 mos.  Birthday: 1/2019
   Weight: Large (60 - 90 pounds)
   Milo ID: 29870
   Current Location: The Milo Sanctuary
Dahlia is a very sweet girl. She is still a pup and needs to learn basic commands like sit, down, stay. When she does get excited she will try and jump on you. She just has to be reminded that all paws must stay on the ground. She is still a youngster and needs to learn basic commands like sit, down, stay, but as Pyrs are stubborn and grow to 120 or more pounds this is not always easy, and for some lifestyles (their chosen lifestyle outdoors), is not always needed. She is very smart, she just wants to please, and be loved, she needs some one to lead her and work with her, she is very happy to watch over other animals and children in a large space. These dogs are good with all animals and children...chickens, cats, sheep, cows...

Great Pyrenees are nocturnal, have large barks, are very stubborn, and enjoy being outdoors! And that is just some of their basic criteria. Milo is very careful where Great Pyrs go to live, they are easy to fall in love with but very hard to live with in urban settings. They are BIG lovely packages of white fluffy love but really have breed specific needs. These fine young dogs will be returning to our Sanctuary post Spay/Neuter on the SNIP BUS at Milo Point Richmond on 10/15. They do not walk on leash well and do not love being in the kennel environment - they came off a ranch in the Napa hills.

$600 adoption fee.

Daffodil is a very sweet girl. She is a bit more shy than her siblings, so she needs a lot more socializing. Even though it takes her a few minutes to finally approach you, when she finally does you'll be glad that you waited around to gain her trust. She is still a pup and needs to learn basic commands like sit, down, stay. She will give you so many kissies and is very smart, she just wants to please, she needs some one to lead her and work with her.

Amos is a very sweet laid back fellow. He loves to lay at your feet and will let you know when he wants more pets with a cute little whimper. He loves to pick up scraps off the kitchen floor, and will never say no to a biscuit. Amos would do well in a cat free environment. He has high prey drive and doesn't like anything small that darts around super fast. We seem to believe that poor Amos must have broken his leg in the past and now its a bit bent. Due to this Amos does have Arthritis and is on Rimadyl to help ease the pain. He also has the cutest little mole under his right eye.

A beautiful dog we offered to rescue on her last day at a shelter - then before we could get her to Milo she popped out three puppies! No one knew she was pregnant. So, due to the pups, we got her up to our Sanctuary as it was an emergency kind of thing - but now we would LOVE to have this sweet family fostered! She is very protective of her pups so would do best in a quiet home with no children.

Gobi is athletic, a little shy but is very sweet once she warms up. Gobi loves to romp at the park with dogs of all sizes. Ideally she would be placed into a home with another canine since she really seems to be more comfortable with dog pals and has much needed boost in her confidence.

Gobi is a bit of a project, she wants a safe haven and nurturing, she needs patience and understanding, and another mentor dog ideally... she is quite shut down and has safe haven syndrome where she is afraid to leave Milo. Come meet this sweet girl today at Milo Point Richmond!

   Gender: Female
Age: 1 yr. 4 mo.  Birthday: 6/2018 (est)

Mora is a sweet girl who came to us from Delano. She's dog friendly and loves people of all ages. She's great on leash, loves to cuddle and sit on your lap. She likes to play fetch and is quick to learn commands. No cats and caution with small feisty dogs with Mora.

Mora is special needs as she is deaf and has OCD. She will pounce constantly in a new space and at light reflections or shadows or if she's overstimulated, but she settles once she's comfortable in her space. We are looking for a savvy adopter who can be patient with her and work on redirecting her attention to the three dimensional world - looking up not at the ground.... Deaf dog, OCD, Herding breed experience is highly recommended. Please inquire at sanctuary@milofoundation.org for more info on Mora. She is a sweetie as well as darling!
